DESCRIPTION:The BLS for Healthcare Provider (C) course skills taught are 1- and 2-rescuer adult\, child and infant CPR\, choking\, automated external defibrillator (AED) training and the use of bag valve mask (BVM). SUMMARY:Standard First Aid/CPR/AED
DESCRIPTION:This course is a 16-hour\, 2-day certification course in CPR – BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider/Standard First Aid/AED (Automated External Defibrillator). CPR/AED are both a 1-year certification\, and Standard First Aid are a 3-year certification. This course teaches the participant how to approach and manage medical emergencies and provide care to the patient until EMS arrives. This course is required for workplaces employing six or more workers in any one shift at a work area or those interested in gaining enhanced first aid knowledge and skills as required by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board under which Second Chance CPR is an approved provider for First Aid programs (WSIB Reg. 1101). \nCourses Include following topics: \nBleeding and Wound Management                        Muscular/Skeletal Emergencies\nHead & Spinal Emergencies                                    Respiratory Emergencies\nCommunicable Diseases                                          Burns\nSeizures                                                                        Circulation\nDiabetic Emergencies                                               Poisoning\nTriage                                                                             Airway\nBreathing\nRescue Breathing CPR Skills Heart Attack & Stroke Choking (conscious/unconscious) \n  \nDue to COVID-19\, class space is limited and you must call to register to pay for the course ahead of time.
