SUMMARY:Intermediate First Aid/CPR-BLS Provider (C)/AED
DESCRIPTION:This course is a minimum 16-hour\, 2-day certification course in CPR – BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider Level (C) / Intermediate First Aid / AED (Automated External Defibrillator). This course runs 8:30-4:30pm both days. *Course times may vary depending on CPR Level (A\, C\, BLS). \nWith the introduction of the CSA Z1210:17 standard\, course naming and classifications have been updated to Basic\, Intermediate\, and Advanced levels. All of our programs now reflect these CSA standards while maintaining full compliance with WSIB requirements\, ensuring consistent\, high-quality training for every workplace. \nCPR/AED are both a 1-year certification\, and Intermediate First Aid is a 3-year certification. DESCRIPTION:This course is now full.  If you register you will be put on a waitlist and will receive an email if a space opens up. A new course has been posted Aug 27 to open up some availability!! \nPLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING.  This is not a common requirement.  It is usually required for low risk workplaces. Please double check your requirements before booking this course.  This is a Level A course which stands for Adult only.   \nBasic First Aid is designed to teach how to manage medical emergencies and render aid until professional help arrives.  It is required for workplaces considered low risk or those interested in gaining first aid knowledge and skills (WSIB Reg. 1101).  1 day Basic First Aid (certifies for 3 years) CPR and AED (certifies for 1 year) \nWith the introduction of the CSA Z1210:17 standard\, course naming and classifications have been updated to Basic\, Intermediate\, and Advanced levels. All of our programs now reflect these CSA standards while maintaining full compliance with WSIB requirements\, ensuring consistent\, high-quality training for every workplace. \nCPR/AED are both a 1-year certification\, and Standard/Intermediate First Aid is a 3-year certification. This course teaches the participant how to approach and manage medical emergencies and provide care to the patient until EMS arrives. This course is required for workplaces employing six or more workers in any one shift in a work area or those interested in gaining enhanced first aid knowledge and skills as required by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board under which Second Chance CPR is an approved provider for First Aid programs (WSIB Reg. 1101). \nSCCPR is committed to accommodating the needs of all students in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
