The new WSIB First Aid Program modernizes workplace training across Ontario by improving consistency, enhancing quality management standards for training providers, and aligning courses with current national evidence-based emergency care practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the transition to CSA Z1210:24, course names are changing across Ontario workplaces. Emergency First Aid will now be recognized as&nbsp;<strong>Basic First Aid,<\/strong>&nbsp;while Standard First Aid will become&nbsp;<strong>Intermediate First Aid.<\/strong>&nbsp;Although the terminology is changing, these certifications will continue to meet the requirements of WSIB Regulation 1101, helping employers maintain compliance while ensuring workers receive practical, up-to-date lifesaving training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CSA Z1210:24 standard also establishes a nationally recognized framework for workplace First Aid training, supporting greater consistency and acceptance of training standards across Canada.
