Business Owners with a passion
Vince and Jes Merlino are the owners and operators of Second Chance CPR, with a passion for helping others become certified and knowledgeable in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
Second Chance CPR is more than just a group of First Aid instructors; we are a team dedicated to providing high-quality training and education in emergency response techniques.
Second Chance CPR-Northern Ontario is a family owned business. Vince and Jes Merlino own and operate this local small business with a passion to help others not only meet their certifications but feel knowledgeable in First Aid, CPR and AED. Jes began teaching first aid with the hopes that more people would recognize a situation, call 911 and find an AED. Her passion grew and from there the business was formed. Vince and Jes were both born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie and they now live, work and raise their own family there. They are proud to be business owners in Northern Ontario.
Second Chance CPR-Northern Ontario is a passion project for Vince and Jes Merlino. Jes had been teaching First Aid for a few different companies when Vince decided to open his own branch of Second Chance CPR. With the help of the Windsor business a new option in Northern Ontario was born in July of 2022.
Vince as the owner takes part in the movement of equipment and behind the scenes work. Jes as the primary instructor does all the training and instruction. There is a strong belief for them both that the more people who are trained in CPR and know how to find and use an AED the better. This belief came about due to medical issues Jes has been dealing with for many years. As someone diagnosed with heart disease Jes is very passionate about training people on recognizing medical emergencies, calling 911 and finding an AED when necessary. Both Vince and Jes are constantly doing research to be sure they are promoting the newest techniques verified by WSIB. Jes also stays up to date on all training in order to be sure that she is giving out the most accurate information. Both Vince and Jes are available to answer any questions you may have about training in First Aid, BLS C, or AED as well as PPE and First Aid equipment and needs.
