Sault College First Aid Training
As a Sault College student, the First Aid and CPR certification you require will depend on the program in which you are enrolled.
Please review the program information below carefully to confirm the required certification before registering for a course.
Intermediate First Aid certification is valid for three years. CPR Level C/AED and BLS Provider certification—formerly referred to as HCP—may require annual renewal depending on your program or placement requirements.
Please ensure you register for the correct course and allow enough time to complete your certification before any program or placement deadline.
1030 ECE – Early Childhood Education Intermediate First Aid + BLS C with AED
3022 – OTA/PTA – Intermediate First Aid + BLS C with AED
3024 – Practical Nursing – Intermediate First Aid + BLS C with AED (This course includes the HCP requirement)
3027 – Personal Support Worker – Intermediate First Aid + BLS C with AED (This course includes the HCP requirement)
3040 – Fitness and Health Promotion – Intermediate First Aid + BLS C with AED
3041 – Gerontology – NOT REQUIRED
3043 – Professional Nursing Practice (PNP) – Intermediate First Aid + BLS C with AED
3044 – Enhanced Nursing Practice for Internationally Educated Nurses (ENP) – Intermediate First Aid + BLS C with AED
3070 – Personal and Developmental Support Services (PDSS) – Intermediate First Aid + BLS C with AED (This course includes the HCP requirement)
3400/3401 – BSCN (Bachelor or Honours) – Intermediate First Aid + BLS C with AED (This course includes the HCP requirement)
3405 – PN to BSCN Bridge (new) – Intermediate First Aid + BLS C with AED (This course includes the HCP requirement)
