Babysitter/Home Alone Course

This course is designed for 9-12 year old’s who may babysit or stay home alone for periods of time.  We will cover what an emergency is, how to react in an emergency, how to avoid emergencies, how to call 9-1-1 and what information they need to tell 9-1-1.  We will talk about Cardiac Arrest and CPR/AED for adults but will focus more on infants and children.  We will talk about AEDs and discuss where they are and how they work.  We will talk about choking and demonstrate how to help someone who is choking.  We will also teach them how to change a diaper and give them time to ask us questions that may be on their minds.  This course is 3 hours in length and takes place at 109 Queen St E (Corner of Queen and Tancred).  They may bring a snack to eat during class.   The cost is $50 per person plus tax.  Please pre register here
