Babysitter/Home Alone Course

This course is a shortened and specified course for children aged 9-12 who may stay home alone, babysit their siblings or babysit for others.  We take the BLS C course and modify it to focus on recognizing emergencies that can happen and then reacting appropriately.  Covered in this course is:

Understanding what First Aid is, Casualty categories (infant, child, adult), the legal elements of first aid and the Good Samaritan’s Act,  Emergency Scene Management, Calling 911, ABCs, CPR, Choking, Artificial Respiration, Automated External Defibrillation, Fainting, Wounds, Bleeding and Slings, Burns, Bites and Stings, Fever Emergencies. Allergic Reactions, Epi-pens.  After the age of 12 we recommend the 2 day Intermediate/BLS C/AED course.

This course runs from 6-9 pm and costs $50 plus tax
